Inflation in China eased to 3.4 percent in April from 3.6 percent in March, the National Bureau of Statistics reported Friday.
The outcome was in line with economists' expectations. On a monthly basis, the consumer price index fell 0.1 percent.
Separately, the statistical office reported that the producer price index dropped 0.7 percent year-on-year compared to forecast for a 0.5 percent fall.
