Adobe Strengthens Board By Adding 3 More Members

Design software maker Adobe Systems Inc. (ADBE) on Monday said it is expanding its board of directors to 12 members from the current nine by adding three new board members from the media and technology world, effective May 14.

The new additions to the board include Frank Calderoni, executive vice president and chief financial officer of networking giant Cisco Systems Inc. (CSCO) and Amy Banse, managing director and head of funds for Comcast Ventures and senior vice president of Comcast Corp. (CMCSA, CMCSK).

Additionally, Laura Desmond, global chief executive officer of brand communications group Starcom MediaVest Group also has been added to the board.

John Warnock and Chuck Geschke, co-chairmen of the board of Adobe, said, "We are pleased to welcome three individuals of this caliber to our board of directors. Amy Banse, Frank Calderoni and Laura Desmond bring deep expertise in media and technology to our board, which are critical to our mission of being the category leader in digital media and digital marketing."

ADBE closed on Monday up by $0.03 at $32.23 on a volume of 3.13 million shares.
