Nordson Corp. (NDSN) reported second quarter adjusted net income of $0.84 per share after the close Monday, compared to the consensus estimate of $0.87. Third quarter EPS is expected to be between $0.96 and $1.04, compared to the consensus estimate of $0.86.
Nordson gapped open sharply higher Tuesday, but traded in a range throughout the session. The stock closed up by 4.28 at $53.28, with volume at a 3-month high. Nordson rose to a 2 1/2 week high and re-crossed its 50-day moving average.
