Premier Farnell Names Laurence Bain CEO As Harriet Green To Leave - Quick Facts

Electronic components distributor Premier Farnell Plc (PFL.L) on Thursday said Harriet Green, its Chief Executive since 2006, would be leaving to take up the role of Group Chief Executive of Thomas Cook Group Plc (TCG.L, TCKGY.PK). She will be succeeded by Chief Operating Officer Laurence Bain.

Harriet will step down from the Board and her responsibilities as Chief Executive at the end of the company's annual general meeting on June 12. She will leave the company on July 29 after a hand over period.

The company appointed Laurence Bain as Chief Executive with effect from June 12. Laurence Bain joined the company in July 2002 and became a member of the Board in July 2003, currently holding the position of Chief Operating Officer.

He has played a key role in the development and delivery of the company's strategy, including the successful growth of its eCommerce solutions and expansion into international markets.

Prior to joining Premier Farnell he held several senior executive roles, including director of operations for Motorola in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

Nicholas Cadbury, Chief Financial Officer, will work closely with Laurence to support him in his new role and will assume some of the responsibilities currently undertaken by Laurence. The Group will release its first-quarter results on June 14 as previously announced.
