Steel Authority of India Ltd. said it had signed a 50:50 joint venture agreement with Burn Standard Co. Ltd., or BSCL, Kolkata, for setting up a wagon components manufacturing facility at the premises of BSCL at Jellingham in West Bengal, with a capacity to produce 10,000 bogies and 10,000 couplers per annum.
The estimated capital outlay for the project is around Rs.200 crore.
At the BSE, Steel Authority of India shares are currently trading at Rs.94.15, up 0.80 percent from the previous close.
