Following the release of the S&P/Case-Shiller home price index for March at 9:00 am ET, the US dollar held steady against its major counterparts. As of 9:02 am ET, the greenback was trading at 1.2532 against the euro, 0.9591 against the Swiss franc, 1.5666 against the pound and 79.51 against the yen.
