Following the release of Canada's current account data for the first quarter at 8:30 am ET, the Canadian dollar extended its weakness against its major opponents. As of 8:34 am ET, the loonie was trading at 1.2779 against the euro, 1.0297 against the greenback and 76.44 against the yen.
