CGI Group Inc. (GIB) announced Thursday morning that it made an offer to acquire Logica for 105 pence (C$1.68) per ordinary share, equivalent to a total purchase price of GBP 1.7 billion (C$2.8 billion).
CGI Group gapped open sharply higher Thursday, but traded in a narrow range throughout the session. The stock closed up by 2.79 at $23.21 on the highest volume of the year and jumped to a 10-month high.
