Extending its previous session's uptrend, the European common currency traded further higher against the British pound in New York afternoon deals on Friday. At 2:20 pm ET, the euro climbed to a fresh multi-day high of 0.8094 versus the sterling, which may be compared to yesterday's close of 0.8028.
