Japan's economy watchers' assessment of the current as well as future economic conditions declined notably in May, results of a key survey revealed Friday.
Eco Watchers' survey results released by the Cabinet Office showed that the current conditions index fell to 47.2 in May from 50.9 in April.
The outlook index, that reflects expectations about economic situation in Japan in the next two to three months, declined to 48.1 from 50.9 in the preceding month.
