The European common currency extended its previous session's downward trading against the Australian, New Zealand and Canadian currencies in New York mid-day deals on Tuesday. At 11:30 am ET, the euro dropped to a new multi-month low of 1.2572 versus the Aussie, which may be compared to yesterday's close of 1.2661.
The euro that closed Monday's New York session at 1.6239 against the NZ dollar, traded further lower in today's mid-morning session and fell to near a 2-month low of 1.6074 by about 11:35 am ET.
Against its Canadian counterpart, the European single currency declined further during New York morning deals today. The pair slipped to a fresh multi-day low of 1.2809 at around 11:30 am ET from yesterday's closing value of 1.2881.
Currently, the euro is worth 1.2818 against the loonie, 1.2581 versus the Aussie and 1.6094 against the kiwi.
