At 4:30 am ET Friday, U.K. trade data for April is due. Ahead of the data, the pound recovered slightly from its early lows against other major currencies.
At 4:25 am ET, the pound was worth 1.5513 against the greenback, 122.51 against the yen, 0.8144 against the euro and 1.4755 against the franc.
