Curtiss-Wright Corp. (CW) has lowered its earnings per share guidance for both the second quarter and the full year. Further, the company intends to move forward with its prior announced potential restructuring initiative within its Metal Treatment segment.
Second-quarter earnings per share is currently estimated in the range of $0.44 - $0.48, compared with its earlier $0.60 - $0.64 range, while 7 analysts expect earnings per share of $0.63 for the second quarter.
For the full year, Curtiss-Wright revised down its earnings per share forecast to $2.50 - $2.60 from its prior guidance of $2.58 - $2.68. Six analysts project earnings of $2.61 per share for 2012.
The company also anticipates that both the second quarter and full year would be negatively impacted by $0.08 per share related to unanticipated additional investments in the China AP1000 program.
