Chinese industrial companies' profits decreased for a second month in May due to weak domestic and foreign demand, the National Bureau of Statistics reported Friday.
Profits were down 5.3 percent in May from a year ago, following a 0.2 percent drop in April.
During the first five months of the year, industrial profits logged an annual fall of 2.4 percent. Revenues advanced 11.9 percent, the report said.
