Croatian Industrial Output Falls For Sixth Month

Industrial production in the Republic of Croatia decreased for the six successive month in May, data released by the Croatian Bureau of Statistics showed Friday.

Industrial production declined a working-day adjusted 3.8 percent annually in May, after falling 9.4 percent in the previous month. The latest was the sixth decline in a row.

Output of intermediate goods dropped 8.8 percent year-on-year, while capital goods production decreased 2 percent. There was 5.7 percent annual fall in durable consumer goods production during the month, and a 0.4 percent decrease in energy production

Compared to April, industrial output increased 2.6 percent in May, notably faster than the 1.2 percent growth seen in April.

In the five months ended May, industrial production declined 6.3 percent from the corresponding period a year earlier, data showed.
