At 8:30 am ET Friday, Canada gross domestic product data for April is scheduled for release. Ahead of the data, the loonie showed mixed performance against its major counterparts. While the loonie moved sideways against the aussie, it was higher against the rest of major currencies.
At 8:25 am ET, the loonie was quoted at 1.2887 against the euro, 77.92 against the yen, 1.0439 against the aussie and 1.0211 against the greenback.
