British households injected GBP 8.81 billion housing equity in the first quarter, the Bank of England said Wednesday. The amount was bigger than the prior quarter's GBP 8.55 billion injection.
Housing equity injections as a percentage of post-tax income was 3.3 percent in the first quarter, compared with the figure of 3.2 percent in the fourth quarter of 2011.
