Romania M3 Money Supply Rises 8.5% In June

Romania's broad money supply increased from last year in June, data released by the National Bank of Romania showed Tuesday.

The M3, or broad money supply, grew 8.5 percent annually in June. Compared to May, however, it decreased by 1.7 percent during the month.

Among components of the M3, net domestic assets were higher by 11.4 percent from a year earlier in June, while net foreign assets declined 9.3 percent, data showed.

The M2, or intermediate money supply, advanced 10.4 percent year-on-year during the month. On a monthly basis, the M2 decreased 1 percent. At the same time, the M1, or narrow money supply, climbed 9.7 percent from last year in June, while sequentially it rose 1.4 percent.
