Fair Isaac Q3 Profit Declines; Lifts FY12 Outlook

Fair Isaac Corp. (FICO), an analytics and decision management technology provider, reported third-quarter net income of $20.7 million or $0.59 per share, compared to $23.2 million or $0.58 per share last year.

On average, five analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.59 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.

Total revenues for the quarter increased 7 percent to $160.48 million from $150.68 million a year ago, while three analysts expected revenues of $158.62 million for the quarter.

Looking ahead, the company raised its guidance for the fiscal 2012, wherein it expects net income of $90 million-$93 million or $2.50-$2.60 per share and revenues of $650 million-$655 million.

Earlier, the company expected net income of $86 million-$89 million or $2.45-$2.55 per share and revenues of $640 million-$645 million.

Analysts currently expect earnings of $2.55 per share and revenues of $647.76 million for the fiscal 2012.
