W&T Offshore, Inc. (WTI) Monday said its second-quarter profit declined to $53.6 million or $0.70 per share from $55.2 million or $0.73 per share in the same period last year.
Adjusted earnings were $21.0 million or $0.28 per share, compared to $53.4 million or $0.71 per share last year.
On average, 11 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.23 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
Revenues totaled $215.5 million, down from $252.9 million last year. Analysts expected revenues of $218.83 million.
