Shares of Rudolph Technologies Inc. (RTEC) rose over 15 percent in after-hours trade on Monday after the company reported market beating profit and revenues for the second quarter.
Net income for the quarter dropped to $6.3 million or $0.19 per share, from $7.0 million or $0.22 per share last year.
Adjusted net income for the quarter was $7.5 million or $0.23 per share, compared to $9.0 million or $0.28 per share last year. On average, 4 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected earnings of $0.18 per share for the quarter.
Second-quarter revenues grew to $56.3 million from $51.5 million last year. Analysts estimated revenues of $53.83 million for the quarter.
