Brazilian aircraft manufacturer Embraer-Empresa Brasileira De Aeronautica SA (ERJ) reported second-quarter net income of US$54.3 million or US$0.2996 per basic ADS, compared to US$96.4 million or US$0.5328 per basic ADS in the prior-year quarter.
Excluding items, adjusted net income for the quarter rose to US$186.5 million from US$120.1 million in the comparable quarter last year.
Revenues for the quarter increased to US$1.72 billion from US$1.36 billion in the same quarter last year.
On average, analysts polled by Thomson Reuters projected earnings of US$0.60 per share and sales of US$1.59 billion for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude one-time items.
