Croatia's merchandise trade deficit decreased from the previous month in June, data released by the Croatian Bureau of Statistics showed Tuesday.
The trade deficit declined to EUR627.66 million in June from EUR640.94 million in May. In the January-June period, the trade balance was a deficit of EUR3.529 billion.
Export of goods decreased to EUR733.34 million in June from EUR817.02 million in the previous month.
At the same time, the value of Imports dropped to EUR1.361 billion during the month from EUR1.458 billion in May.
Separately, the agency said Croatia's working-day adjusted industrial production decreased at a faster pace of 5.5 percent in June than 3.8 percent in the previous month. Output in the manufacturing sector was lower by 3.2 percent from last year, and mining and quarrying production down by 23.1 percent.
On a monthly basis, industrial output decreased a seasonally adjusted 1.6 percent in June, reversing the previous month's 2.6 percent growth, data showed.
