ResMed Inc. (RMD) reported fourth quarter net income of $0.53 per share after the bell Thursday, up from $0.37 per share in the previous year. The consensus estimate was for EPS of $0.49.
ResMed gapped open sharply higher Friday, but traded in a range for the majority of the session. The stock closed up by 3.82 at $35.65, with volume at a 6-month high. ResMed climbed past resistance and finished at a new high for the year.
