Air Canada (AC_A.TO, AC_B.TO) reported a 1.1 percent drop in its July 2012 system traffic on a system-wide capacity decrease of 0.5 percent.
The airline said its July traffic was 5.55 billion revenue passenger miles or RPMs, down 1.1% from 5.61 billion RPMs last year. Capacity marginally decreased to 6.45 billion available seat miles or ASMs from 6.49 billion ASMs in July 2011.
System load factor in July slipped to 85.9% from 86.4% in the prior-year period, a decline of 0.5 percentage points.
