Retail sales in Croatia decreased for the fourth consecutive month in June, data released by the Croatian Bureau of Statistics showed Friday.
Retail sales volume, in real terms, decreased a non-adjusted 5.1 percent year-on-year in June, after falling 4.4 percent in May. In April and March, sales decreased 7.3 percent and 1.1 percent respectively.
Retail trade, excluding motor vehicles and motor cycles, were lower by 2.9 percent compared to June 2011. Sales of food, beverages and tobacco in non-specialized stores advanced 0.6 percent annually, while other retail sales in non-specialized stores remained unchanged.
On a monthly basis, the volume of retail trade increased 4.2 percent in June. On a seasonally adjusted basis, however, sales decreased 0.2 percent from May, data showed.
