During late New York trading on Friday, the Japanese currency edged down further against most major opponents. As of now, the yen is trading near 78.29 against the US dollar, 122.82 versus the British pound, 63.70 against the NZ dollar and 82.83 versus the Australian dollar from early morning session's multi-day highs of 78.17, 121.83, 63.34 and 82.28, respectively.
