Brigus Gold Corp (BRD.TO) Friday reported net income of $0.4 million or breakeven per share, compared to net loss of about $4.0 million or $0.02 per share in the prior year.
Revenue from sale of gold for the quarter increased to $28.4 million from $17.9 million last year.
Gold sales volumes for the quarter rose 21% from last year to 18,419 ounces. Average realized gold price improved 5% from a year ago to $1,543 per ounce.
Moving forward, Brigus is forecasting full year 2012 gold production of 77,000 ounces to 85,000 ounces.
