Jack Henry & Associates Inc. (JKHY) Tuesday reported an increase in profit for the fourth quarter, due mainly to higher revenues.
The Monett, Missouri-based company's fourth-quarter net profit was $43.33 million or $0.50 per share, compared to $36.57 million or $0.42 per share last year. On average, 10 analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to earn $0.46 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
Total revenues for the quarter grew 7 percent to $266.61 million from $249.26 million in the prior-year quarter. Eight analysts had a consensus revenue estimate of $265.34 million for the quarter.
