Towers Watson & Co. (TW) reported fourth quarter net income of $0.91 per share Tuesday morning, compared to $0.59 per share in the previous year. The consensus estimate was for EPS of $1.24. First quarter EPS is expected to be between $1.05 and $1.10, compared to the consensus estimate of $1.25.
Towers Watson & Co. gapped open sharply lower Tuesday and spiked to the downside in early trade, before settling into a range. Shares finished down by 6.87 at $51.68 on the highest volume of the year. The stock sank to a new low for the year.
