Canada's CPI for July is due at 8:30 am ET Friday. Ahead of the data, the loonie showed mixed trading against other major currencies. While the loonie fell against the greenback, it moved sideways against the rest of major currencies.
At 8:25 am ET, the loonie was worth 0.9884 against the greenback, 80.41 against the yen, 1.2211 against the euro and 1.0315 against the aussie.
