Apple Inc. (AAPL) gapped open higher Friday and climbed during the first half hour of trade. The stock extended its gains in the final 90 minutes of the afternoon and closed up by 11.77 at $648.11.
Apple has been rising for the last 3 weeks. The stock rose past resistance and closed Friday at a new high for the year.
