America's Car-Mart Inc. (CRMT) reported first quarter net income of $0.83 per share after the bell Thursday, compared to $0.78 per share in the previous year. The consensus estimate was for EPS of $0.87.
America's Car-Mart gapped open lower Friday and fell in early trade, but recovered some ground around midday. Shares finished down by 2.83 at $45.77 on the highest volume of the year. The stock closed testing the lower end of a 3-week range.
