Urban Outfitters Inc. (URBN) reported second quarter EPS of $0.42 after the bell Monday, up from $0.35 in the previous year. The consensus estimate was for EPS of $0.33.
Urban Outfitters gapped open sharply higher Tuesday morning, but traded in a narrow range throughout the session. Shares finished up by 5.70 at $36.98, with volume at a 7-month high. The stock broke out of a one-month range and set a new high for the year.
