In the New York session on Wednesday, the U.S. dollar retreated from its recent highs against the currencies of Switzerland and Europe amid the release of U.S. existing home sales data for July.
The dollar is now trading at 0.9625 against the franc and 1.2478 against the euro, down from early highs of 0.9662 and 1.2433, respectively.
