Tropical Storm Isaac To Landfall On Haiti On Saturday Morning

Tropical Storm Isaac that devastated Haiti last day is expected to landfall on early morning Saturday. Isaac is expected to reach near Cuba on Saturday and to move to Florida Keys on Sunday. Many airline operators were forced to cancel services to Haiti as well as Cuba.

Though Isaac has not turned to a hurricane, it has sustained winds of 70 miles per hour and moving North West at 14 miles per hour. Data from tropical satellite shows that the storm will fall at a pressure of 990 mb.

Rainfall of 8 to 12 inches is expected over island of Hispaniola. Flash floods and landslides are expected across Haiti. Runoff of flood water can cause blockade on roads.

Haiti's capital Port-au-Prince is still limping due to the impact of an earthquake in 2010 and more than 400 thousand people are living in shelters. Flash floods and mudslide would add to their woes.
