The makers of the male enhancement drug Virilis Pro have been slapped with a lawsuit by a Texas man claiming their product caused significant damage to his penis.
Adrian Carter, 29, is suing the drug maker after he said it caused him to suffer a fractured penis. During subsequent surgery, doctors were forced to "deglove" Carter's penis to mend the fracture. He has since lost his ability to have sexual intercourse or bear children.
In his court filing, Carter said he used the drug before a sexual encounter in a hotel. His penis allegedly fractured during intercourse. The court filing added he "observed a large quantity of blood squirting out of his penis onto the sheets, walls and mirror."
Carter and his attorney, Melissa Moore, said the fracture was due to side effects caused by Virilis Pro, a product which they described as "defective and unreasonably dangerous."
"It was pretty horrific to view the pictures," Carter's attorney, Melissa Moore, told ABC News. "I know it sounds unusual...He was young and healthy and on no other meds at the time he took the supplement."
Named in the suit are Haute Health Limited Liability Company, Carney & Carney Financial Services, individuals Michael Heilig and Michael and Tyra Carney and Solid Rock Worship Company.
