Air Canada (AC_A.TO, AC_B.TO) reported that its traffic in August 2012 increased 0.7% from August 2011, on a capacity increase of 0.6%.
The airline said its August 2012 traffic rose 0.7% to 5.73 billion revenue passenger miles or RPMs from 5.69 billion RPMs in the same period last year.
The airline's August 2012 capacity was 6.513 billion available seat miles or ASMs, up 0.6% from 6.473 billion ASMs in the prior year period.
Load factor for August 2012 was 87.9%, up 0.1 points from 87.8% reported in August 2011.
