AAI Test & Training, an operating unit of Textron Systems, a Textron Inc. (TXT) company, said Monday that it has received a $12.7 million award from the U.S. Air Force for the B-1 Advanced Radar/Electronic Warfare Test Station, or ARTS, program.
Under this 30-month basic contract, AAI Test & Training will provide three B-1 ARTS automatic test equipment, or ATE, systems, along with several line-replaceable unit test program sets, or LRU TPS, unique to specific components of the system under test.
The contract also includes station self-test and calibration equipment, six application development environments and data products for all supplied systems.
The company noted that the contract options could span up to seven additional years and include the addition of 20 B-1 ARTS ATE systems, plus the required support equipment.
B-1 ARTS will be utilized by both Air Force and Air National Guard end users.
