The Singulus Technologies AG. (SGTSY.PK, SGTSF.PK), On Thursday said it will continue to expand its operations in the solar segment. In a statement, the company said it would present numerous product innovations at the 27th European Photovoltaic Solar Energy Conference and Exhibition in Frankfurt am Main from September 25 to September 28.
SINGULUS in association with the Institute for Solar Energy Research Hameln, announced that they had increased the conversion efficiency of screen-printed silicon solar cells from the current industry typical 18.5 percent to a record value of 20.1 percent. The conversion efficiency of this technology was also confirmed by an independent measurement from the photovoltaics calibration laboratory of the Fraunhofer ISE, said the company in a statement.
Singulus also said it would begin marketing this technology at the solar energy conference.
In addition, Singulus noted that in order for it to make manufacturing of silicon photovoltaic modules competitive, an additional reduction of the production costs was required.
Wednesday, the stock closed at $3.27 on the OTC market.
