Virco Mfg Corp. (VIRC) Friday reported a second-quarter profit of $7.1 million or $0.49 per share, up from $2.7 million or $0.19 per share in the year-ago quarter. Earnings were helped mainly by improved gross margins.
Revenues declined to $60.4 million from $62.8 million last year.
Cost of sales decreased to $37.5 million from $42.9 million last year.
