Extending last week's rally, the euro touched 1.2795 against the Canadian dollar around 9:40 am ET Monday and this set its strongest level since July 3.
Technically, the euro-loonie pair is heading towards its 50.0 percent retracement level at 1.2810 and the next barrier above this mark would be its 61.8 percent target at 1.2970.
