The European common currency eased from early morning session's uptrend against major opponents in New York afternoon trading on Monday.
The euro that hit new multi-month highs of 1.3173 against the US dollar and 103.88 versus the Japanese yen by about 9:40 am ET, edged down thereafter and as of now worth 1.3110 and 103.25, respectively.
Against the British pound, the euro also declined in afternoon session from previous session's high of 1.8103 and presently trading near 0.8067.
