Malaysia is on Friday scheduled to release unemployment figures for July, highlighting a light day for Asia-Pacific economic activity. In June, the unemployment rate was 2.8 percent and the participation rate came in at 65.0 percent.
The Philippines will provide current account numbers for the second quarter of 2012; in the first quarter, the current account surplus was $0.88 billion.
Australia will see July results for the Conference Board leading index; in June, it was up 0.2 percent.
New Zealand will provide August figures for credit card spending and net migration. Credit card spending was up 0.1 percent on year and down 1.5 percent on month in July. Net migration was down 660 people on month in July.
