Air Canada (AC_A.TO, AC_B.TO) reported that system traffic for the month of September increased 3.1 per cent on a system-wide capacity increase of 0.5 per cent.
The airline said its September 2012 traffic rose 3.1% to 4.98 billion revenue passenger miles or RPMs from 4.83 billion RPMs in the same period last year.
The airline's September 2012 capacity was 5.87 billion available seat miles or ASMs, up 0.5% from 5.84 billion ASMs in the prior year period.
System load factor for the month was 84.9 per cent, versus 82.8 per cent in September 2011, an increase of 2.1 percentage points.
