Lenovo Announces Several New Convertible Tablets

Lenovo has revealed the details of three new convertible tablet devices—the IdeaPad Yoga 11, IdeaTab Lynx the ThinkPad Twist and ThinkPad Tablet 2. Each new device will run on the Windows 8 system and can function as either a tablet or a laptop.

The Yoga 11 features an ARM processor, and boasts a 11.6-inch convertible screen. It will run on the RT version of the new Windows 8 system and will be largely geared towards the mobile market. It will cost $799 and be out in December.

The Lynx will also feature an 11.6-inch screen but will include a dual-core Intel Atom processor. It will also run the Windows 8 proper and will weigh in at 640 grams with 16 hours of battery life. The Lynx comes as a standalone tablet with a docking option and will hit stores in December for $599.

The Twist and Tablet will drop on October 26 and sell for $849 and $649, respectively.
