Quidel Corp. (QDEL) , a provider of diagnostic testing solutions for the healthcare industry , on Tuesday reported third quarter net loss of $0.07 million or $0.02 per share, compared to a net loss of $1.11 million or $0.03 per share last year.
Revenues for the quarter were $33.0 million, compared to $33.1 million a year ago.
Nine analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected losses of $0.02 per share, and seven analysts expected revenues of $35.85 million for the third quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
Street currently estimates earnings of $0.10 per share on revenues of $44.89 million for the fourth quarter.
Shares of Quidel Corp. closed at $17.00, up 2 cents or 0.12% on the Nasdaq.
