Stagecoach Group plc (SGC.L) said its like-for-like revenue growth in UK Bus (regional operations) for twenty four weeks grew 3.6%, and up by 7.9% in UK Rail. On the other hand, the company said 0.9% decline in revenue at UK Bus (London) is consistent with its prior expectation that some less profitable contracts would not be retained as we restructured the acquired business and improved its overall profitability. This reflects the revenue lost from contracts that ended during the year to April 30, 2012.
For the five months ended September 30, 2012, North America's like-for-like revenue growth, including Megabus.com, excluding disposed Wisconsin school bus business, went up 10.7%. Like-for-like Virgin Rail Group revenue improved 2.7% for the 24-week period.
