Idacorp Inc. (IDA) reported third quarter 2012 net income attributable to the company of $92.1 million, or $1.84 per share, compared to $107.1 million, or $2.16 per diluted share, in the third quarter of 2011. Analysts polled by Thomson Reuters expected the company to report earnings of $1.53 per share for the quarter. Analysts' estimates typically exclude special items.
Total operating revenue for the quarter increased to $334.02 million from $309.63 million last year.
The company raised its 2012 full year earnings guidance from the range of $3.20 to $3.35 per share to the range of $3.30 to $3.40 per share. Analysts expect the company to report earnings of $3.27 per share for fiscal 2012.
Idaho Power Company, IDACORP's principal subsidiary, reported third quarter 2012 net income of $89.6 million, compared to $104.9 million in the third quarter of 2011.
