Harris Teeter Supermarkets Inc. (HTSI) Thursday reported third-quarter net income of $23 million or $0.46 per share, compared with net loss of $9 million or $0.18 per share last year.
On a continuing operations basis, earnings for the quarter totaled $23.6 million or $0.48 per share, compared with earnings of $24.6 million or $0.50 per share a year ago.
Revenues for the quarter were $1.14 billion, compared with $1.10 billion a year ago.
Thomson Reuters' analysts on consensus estimated earnings of $0.60 per share on revenues of $1.18 billion for the quarter.
